Thalle Awarded $31M Botette Road Reclaimed Water Storage Reservoir Project
March 31, 2013
The purpose of the Reservoir Construction Project (the “Project”) is to construct the Boyette Road Reservoir (“Reservoir”) which will provide 500-million-gallon (MG) of reuse water storage capacity in the Pasco County Master Reuse System (PCMRS). The completed work will provide the County with additional dry weather reuse water supply to serve the disposal needs of the County. The County’s
goal is to build a safe and reliable reservoir that will successfully perform for at least its design life at the lowest possible life cycle cost.
The Boyette Reservoir is planned to be a 500 MG reclaimed water reservoir that will be located in central Pasco County on Boyette Road, east of Interstate 75 (I-75) and north of the current Wesley Center Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF). Reservoir construction is required by Consent Order (OGC File 05-2682), and the reservoir has been fully designed and permitted by an engineering professional.
Work includes all site civil work necessary to furnish and install the reservoir including, but not limited to: clearing, grubbing, silt fencing, dewatering, grading, paving, embankment with toe drains, security fence, and landscaping; all geotechnical work including, but not limited to the geomembrane liner, HDPE curtain wall, and the composite drainage net; an overflow structure; maintenance building; electrical building; boat ramp; perimeter access road; dual aeration system with compressors; automated backwash strainers; sodium hypochlorite storage and feed system; transfer pump station with pumps and controls; and electrical equipment with motor control center (MCC), transformer, generator, automatic transfer switch (ATS), site lighting, power conduits, etc; all instrumentation and control systems associated with the reservoir system; irrigation system; and yard piping with associated valves and appurtenances.
