New Ragged Mt. Dam Project Wins Mid-Atlantic Award, Nominated for National

The Thalle Construction Company project, New Ragged Mountain Dam, has won a chapter award under the structures catagory and was nominated for a national award under the same catagory, from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

The New Ragged Mountain Dam is located in Albemarle County, Virginia approximately 4 miles west of the City of Charlottesville. The project included construction of a new earthen dam along with an adjacent tunnel system and raw water pipeline that will serve as the principal spillway for the new dam structure.

The Project was finished in June of 2014.
